Ongoing Works

 

  • Henry Street: Footpath & parking restrictions in place from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate kerb re-alignment as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), no impact on local traffic
  • Sheare's Street: Parking restrictions currently in place to facilitate footpath replacement as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS).
  • Grattan Street: Full closure northbound currently in place from the junction of Sheare’s Street to the junction of Peters Street to facilitate re-construction work as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), diversions in place - please see www.transportforcorkcity.ie
  • Glenthorn Drive:  Give/Take in operation from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate installation of ESB ducting (ESB Networks)
  • Half Moon Street: Lane restriction currently in operation to facilitate hoarding installation for repair works to Opera House (Cumnor Construction)

 

Upcoming Works:

Saturday 16th September 2017

  • The Marina: Full closure in place from 12 noon – 2000hrs from the junction of Blackrock Village to the junction of the Link Road to facilitate Blackrock Village Festival, diversion in place, please be advised that local access along Church Avenue will be maintained
  • Albert Quay West: Lane restriction in operation from 0800hrs – 1430hrs to facilitate glazing replacement of No.1 Albert Quay Development (BAM), expect delays

**Please note that there will be a lane restriction in operation on Clontarf Bridge and Eglinton Street to facilitate this work**

  • Shanakiel Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0700hrs – 1100hrs at the junction with St. Anne’s Pitch & Putt Cub to facilitate traffic loop repair (Traffic Dept, CCC), expect delays

  • Horgans Quay & Penrose Quay: Lane restrictions in operation from 2000hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate repair of damaged manhole covers as part of Kent Station Phase 2 works (MGOS), expect delays
  • South Mall: Parking restrictions in operation from 0600hrs – 0830hrs outside “Electric” to facilitate painting works (Barry Sheahan Painting)
  • Woods Street: Full closure in place this morning from 0930hrs from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), local access for residents and businesses will be maintained
  • Upper Cattle Market Street: Full closure in place from 1930hrs – 2330hrs from the junction of Blarney Street to the junction of Boyce’s Street to facilitate manhole cover repair (Ryca), local diversion in place
  • Ballyhooly Road: Full closure in place from 1930hrs – 0600hrs from the junction of the North Ring Road (Ballyvolane Cross) to the junction of the Fox & Hounds junction to facilitate road resurfacing (Lagan Asphalt), diversion in place
  • Pouladuff Flyover (Southbound): Southbound road closure in place from 2000hrs – 0600hrs from the junction of the N40 on ramp at Casey’s Cross to facilitate road resurfacing (P& D Lydon), local diversion in place

  • Horgans Quay & Penrose Quay: Lane restrictions in operation from 2000hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate repair of damaged manhole covers as part of Kent Station Phase 2 works (MGOS), expect delays
  • Eglinton Street: Lane restriction in operation from 1930hrs – midnight to facilitate public lighting pole replacement (Mitchelsfort on behalf of Airtricity)
  • South Mall: Parking restrictions in operation from 0600hrs – 0830hrs outside “Electric” to facilitate painting works (Barry Sheahan Painting)
  • Woods Street: Full closure currently in place from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), local access for residents and businesses will be maintained
  • Ballyhooly Road: Full closure in place from 1930hrs – 0600hrs from the junction of the North Ring Road (Ballyvolane Cross) to the junction of the Fox & Hounds junction to facilitate road resurfacing (Lagan Asphalt), diversion in place
  • Commons Road (N20): Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 12 noon at the junction to Parklands/Commons Inn to facilitate lantern replacement (Traffic Dept, CCC)
  • Mardyke Walk: Stop/Go in place from 1930hrs – 2330hrs to facilitate manhole cover repair (Ryca)
  • Connolly Park: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate gas main installation (BBCLG on behalf of GNI)
  • Cross Douglas Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate sewer connection for domestic dwelling (Conhor Construction), expect delays
  • Pouladuff Flyover (N40 Eastbound) Off Ramp: Full closure in place from 2000hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate road resurfacing (P& D Lydon), local diversion in place

  • Lancaster Quay: Bus lane closure in place from 0700hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate concrete pour at
  • Ziggurat Apartments Development (BAM)
  • Woods Street: Full closure currently in place from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), local access for residents and businesses will be maintained
  • St. Patricks Place: Full road closure in place from 1900hrs – 2300hrs from the junction of St. Patrick’s Hill to the junction of York Hill to facilitate watermain repair (Water Dept, CCC), diversions in place
  • Ballyhooly Road: Stop/Go in operation from 1930hrs – 0600hrs from the junction of the North Ring Road (Ballyvolane Cross) to the junction of Meadow Park to facilitate road resurfacing (Lagan Asphalt), expect delays
  • Old Youghal Road (Cahergal Terrace): Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs near the junction with Dillon’s Cross to facilitate gas works (BBCLG on behalf of GNI), expect delays
  • Cross Douglas Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate sewer connection for domestic dwelling (Conhor Construction), expect delays

  • Lancaster Quay: Bus lane closure in place from 0700hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate concrete pour at Ziggurat Apartments Development (BAM)
  • Woods Street: Full closure in place until 1800hrs from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), local access for residents and businesses will be maintained
  • Ballyhooly Road: Stop/Go in operation from 1930hrs – 0600hrs from the junction of the North Ring Road (Ballyvolane Cross) to the junction of Meadow Park to facilitate road resurfacing (Lagan Asphalt), expect delays
  • Castle Road: Full closure inbound in place from 1900hrs – 2230hrs from the junction of Ferney Road to the junction of Pier head to facilitate Culture Buses for Culture Night, local access and outbound traffic will be maintained, diversion in place
